Work Year end was cramping my style! I got a few things done over the last few weeks, but didn't have time to post about them! I'll post them out over the next few days as I am now ON VACATION!!! The first simple one was a finish of the BOM I've been doing through Quiltessentials Co. in St. Albert. I completed the December block and did a bit of a layout for the full quilt. Apparently with the 2016 BOM they will have some good coordinating background fabric, so depending what that is (if it is gilded, I'll likely pass), I may go with it or search out something I like better. Photos of December, rough layout on the floor, and rough sketch for final are below! Sorry about the hand shadow; my camera apparently won't let me force flash to go off, it is no flash or auto...I guess I need to figure out how to put my finger over the light sensor to trick it. My general plan for the layout is to go from the blocks with highest value to lowest value across the quilt. I have some spare strips of each fabric so I can ad the gem/strings across the quilt with similar value sets.
