I bought a few patterns in January to make for some stuffed animals for new additions to friend's families. The patterns are from BuckandBaa on etsy. They are extremely cute, so I plan to make a bunch of them for friends. Below is trial number 1 to work out the kinks (odd bump on the nose, kindof lumpy stuffy).
On the note of spring, I was at the quilt store picking up my block of the month and there was a too cute new set of fabric available (Bee Creative by Moda).
So I bought the fat quarter pre cuts (main fabric not available yet), with plans to make it into a nice log cabin quilt. I spent some time figuring out the most efficient way of cutting up each fat quarter to get the maximum number of squares out of the deal, and got to work setting up the 10" finished block layout. The first few blocks are turning out quite nicely, it will be fun to get this one to complete! I'll keep posting as I progress, but if you want to see all the photos, they'll be in the album. |
